Battery Charging Systems for Wind Powered Cars

A wind-powered car is indeed a fantastic idea, but how could we generate enough power from the localized wind to spin a wind turbine generator to charge a battery operated car? Well, you know with magnetic non-frictional spindles connected to the generator you could do this without the huge drag issue on the moving car. By using airflows around vehicle where they were sped up, you could continually charge the batteries. The trick is new materials to lighten the weight and nano carbon tube type construction.

Also there are many theories, which could cut down on the drag of the vehicle such as natural flow moving outside body parts and using the airflow more than once. For instance like aircraft with forward swept wings in front allowing airflows and wing tip vortices to flow onto the rear wing swept back. If the airflows of an automobile were used more efficiently and perhaps modifying air densities in the process you could have hover car properties as well as some lift lightening the cars weight footprint and improving efficiency.

The use of wind would need like you lead to be a charging system on the batteries to the drive wheels; perhaps three in a tricycle fashion. You know it sure is fun to speculate and watch those land sail races. It seems that if we modified the roads just a little to allow to capture some flows and then allowed a swivel system to collect wind [like wind generators swivel] then you could be charging all the time, even when driving off the airflows of the car and the wind in the tunnel or modified road system. Imagine this in 2006.
