Hurricane New Orleans

Hurricane New Orleans the disaster everyone worried about and even planned for came true with Hurricane Katrina. The authorities thought they had planned for it, even had a strategic Disaster Plan in place called "Hurricane Pam" plan and everyone planned for the worst after the Center hurricane national Miami Center showed how Hurricane Katrina only a Category one at the time exhibited similarities to the Camille Hurricane.

The Hurricane tacking, Hurricane Watch and the course of Katrina had pin-point the area of landfall on the Hurricane tracker well in advance. Surely this Hurricane will dissipate in time thought those who looked at the satellite hurricane Katrina photo, video and picture. It was as if the United States would be hit yet again with the likes of a Hurricane Irene or Hurricane Andrew. But make no mistake Hurricane Katrina video showed an even bigger storm which almost filled up the entire Gulf of Mexico, bigger than any hurricane Miami had ever seen, this was to become what many believed a Hurricane of National significance; Hurricane New Orleans had feared for nearly fifty years. The 2005 Hurricane Season was only half way through when we saw the Hurricane name and the Hurricane Katrina Path headed in a beeline for New Orleans.

Many thought of a new device; a hurricane shutter for their homes, but it was too late now everything was sold out. The center Hurricane winds were already pushing in excess of 160 mph and some feared it was the harbor hurricane from hell, like the Tsunami, which means "harbor wave" in Japanese, it threatened to be one of the largest storm surges the United States had ever seen.

What did we learn from Mother Nature in all of this? Well do not build cities under sea level was the battle cry for some, yet the 1 million population base city was already built there. Another point could be that the hurricane tropical season is Mother Nature's way of letting us know exactly who is in charge. FEMA and others now believe we need all states to have "Hurricane National Mandated Evacuation Plans" for the next one. And yes there will be more; we all know that. Think on it.
