NSA Whistleblower Explains Tactics

The so called whistle blower was explaining the tactics of the NSA on TV and said that if someone was talking to Al Queda and that someone also called many other people, then those other people they had been in contact might also be put on surveillance. Now then this brings up an interesting topic. Lets just say that some who happened to be talking to Al Queda also was talking to you? Bummer right? I mean now they are tapping your phone lines and going thru all the phones calls in all the phone records and all your emails that you have ever made that are available. Now then what if they went thru all those phone records of everyone you ever called and all the people they called to see if there was a link somewhere? Might be a good idea correct?

Sure in theory it might, however using this scenario one might also consider theories on the degrees of separation; for instance if the average person knows thirty-five hundred people and some people may know as many as 10,000 people. (I do). Then if we multiply the 10,000 times 3500 we get 35 million and if we multiply that by another 3500 then we get everyone on the Planet.

So going with such a scenario as described by Joe Whistleblower you may as well simply put the entire human population on a watch list. Thus you will need a very large computer or many of them. Thus selling computer systems to the NSA must be a very good business indeed. The NSA Whistleblower describes a web program and explained how it worked, pretty smart way to do it right? Sure it makes sense, as this is how human groups are formed.

So, if we are all connected by a spider web then one ought to also think along the lines of monitoring everyone in that web or here on the web? Interesting indeed. So why haven't we already rounded up all these International Terrorists then? Too much data? You know the late Sam Walton discussed over kill in data collection, before data mining was even a buzzword. Where are the International Terrorists and who are they working for and why havent we caught them all by now if this is level of surveillance is really going on? Too tough of a question; okay forget I asked, let someone else ask it then. Think on this in 2006
