Galleries in Barcelona are a wonderful experience, both for art lovers and also for those who may not be well versed with art. Although the collection doesn't showcase all his work, it functions as a record of the formative years of Picasso that were spent at La Llotja art school, hobnobbing with the Catalonia's fin-de-siècle avant-garde. The real showstopper piece in this gallery is the complete series of 57 canvases based on Velázquez's famous Las Meninas, which were donated by Picasso himself.
